Opponents of same-sex marriage always say it threatened so-called “traditional” marriages between men and women. But when ThinkProgress asked attendees at an anti-equality rally in Washington, DC, on Tuesday if the the passage of marriage equality in states like Massachusetts has impacted their lives.

Surprisingly, no one they spoke to was on the verge of divorce. One guy said it’s even brought him and his wife together—they have a shared hatred to bond over.
